HERE COMES JAZZ ON THE GREEN!
The smooth stylings of Eric Dunan on Trumpet, Mariela Mudler on Sax, Jeremy Sawkins on Guitar, Duncan Brown on Bass, and Toby Dunan on Drums will transport you this Friday night as they set the mood for Eats & Beatz inaugural event; Jazz on the Green.
These fine musicians are some the Illawarra's most respected members of its thriving jazz community, and it is a distinct honour to have them on board with something truly different for Friday nights. Not only do you get to enjoy the Quintet at their finest, we've also got some of the hottest local food trucks on board to make sure dinner's covered.
Eats and Beats also allows us to partner with fabulous local distilleries and breweries to provide you with the perfect cold beverage for those warm spring & summer nights. And for those with a particularly precise palette, the Booch Bar will be serving up kombucha cocktails! The discerning drinker needn't be worried, as Justine from Great Southern Mead & Honey will have her divine blends in stock to really enliven your senses.
The flavour of our event is live and local, and as such we only thought it appropriate to see our favourite Event and Entertainment Director Kachina Lewis perform a guest spot on the night! Her voice is utterly transcendent, and is truly the icing on top of what is already going to be an unforgettable night.
When we approached Eric Dunan to gauge his interest, we never would have believed that we were going to receive the response that we did. Not just positive, he was positively jubilant! His energy inspired us to make this event the very best it could be. Not for ourselves, but for local industries and institutions that always need the support of their community in order to thrive. That's why we're so thrilled to be keeping it local; from our talent, to our food stalls, right down to our bar staff!
So come on down this Friday and find your new favourite thing to do. Chill vibes, cold drinks, cool tunes. We've got this.
