Car and Bike Cruise rolls into Bulli!
Updated: Jul 4, 2019
The 23rd of June saw the arrival of the first of, hopefully, many successful partnerships with car and bike shows. This particular event, however, had a bit of a twist. A strong beating heart that fuelled every inch of road they covered, and a cause that was championed with every engine rev as the motorcade made its spectacular entrance.
There were throngs of people in attendance, and prizes awarded for best in show. And we can tell you, it would’ve been exceedingly difficult to narrow it down to just one. For the homegrown fans there were Fords and Holdens; the europhiles were treated to BMWs old and new; classic and new muscle machines from the US; and many other impressive beasts took proud place on the track.
The event was convened by Simon and Vivian Borg, car and bike show organisers. The cruise, which took place from Camden to Bulli, was in aid of raising funds for melanoma research. Each car or bike that took place in the Cruise paid an entry fee which went towards this worthy cause. Some of the funds even went towards assisting the widow of a melanoma victim Darrin, with the other half going directly to research. The organisers said they got a phenomenal response from the event and raised more money than they had expected. Every little bit counts and we can’t begin to thank everyone who attended, helped, promoted, and enjoyed the day.
